2005 Andrew Murray Esperance
This is an interesting GSM wine - seems more complex than I would have anticipated. The nose smells to me like blueberries and custard - very nice, light, and slightly floral as well. Immediately on the palate, I get sweet blueberry, then some heat, more berries (like berries in a liqueur sauce), maybe a bit of anise, and a finish that isn't terribly long, and slightly bitter. With a nicer finish and without heat, this would be a superstar.
